Iran receives 250,000 COVID-19 vaccines from China

Tehran, March 2 (RHC)-- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Said Jatibzade confirmed that 250,000 doses of vaccine against the coronavirus pandemic arrived in the country from China.  "We appreciate the donation of 250,000 doses of vaccines against COVID-19 by the Government of China, as a new sign of friendship between the two nations," Jatibzade said.

The representative of Iranian diplomacy said that the best way to combat COIVD-19 is with global unity, "cooperation to curb the pandemic consolidates the importance of strategic relations," he added.
 
Despite the illegal economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the White House against Iran, the country continues with clinical trials to create its own vaccine against COVID-19 and this Sunday began human trials of the Iranian dose.

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, has denounced before the United Nations that U.S. sanctions cause damages quantified at 1 trillion dollars, for which Zarif demanded compensation.
