Brasilia, April 6 (RHC)-- The pollster PoderData conducted a study points out that 44 percent of Brazilians consider that the health and humanitarian crisis generated by Covid-19, is the fault of President Jair Bolsonaro.

In other demographic details, the survey also reveals that those who blame Bolsonaro are from a very wide range of ages and genders, since of the young people questioned, 60 percent pointed to him as responsible, while 51 percent of women also opted for that answer.

Likewise, 61 percent of workers earning between two to five minimum wages also blame Bolsonaro for the humanitarian catastrophe in Brazil, in addition, 53 percent of people with higher education reproach the president's management.

Those who blame the president the least, PoderData detailed, are men, (36 percent), adults between 25 and 44 years old (35 percent), residents in the Midwest and Northeast regions (38 percent), people with primary education (36 percent) and workers earning up to two minimum wages (37 percent).

Brazilian authorities reported this Monday 28,645 new confirmed cases and 1,319 deaths due to the pandemic.  The Ministry of Health totals 13 million infections and 332,752 deaths, making Brazil the second country in the world with the most cases and deaths, behind only the United States.

In the midst of this new spike in cases, Bolsonaro appointed last March cardiologist Marcelo Queiroga as the new Minister of Health, the fourth since the beginning of the health crisis in the country.
