Brazil's President Rousseff Favored to Win October Elections

Brasilia, June 20 (PL-RHC) -- Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff remains the favorite to get re-elected in October with 39 percent in vote intention, a survey by Ibope revealed.

The survey, released by the National Confederation of Industry says that Senator Aécio Neves, Social Democracy Party (PSDB) candidate, accounts for 21 percent of popular support.

Another candidate, socialist PSB Eduardo Campos, scored 10 percent of support, while the evangelical pastor Everaldo Pereira, of the Social Christian Party (PSC), appears with three percent of vote intention.

Thirteen percent of the people questioned by the poll answered they will void their ballot or leave it blank and another eight percent said they did not know for whom to cast their votes in the upcoming elections.

According to Ibope 2,002 voters were interviewed in 142 municipalities in Brazil from June 13th to the 15th.
