Tegucigalpa, December 29 (RHC)-- The plenary of the National Electoral Council (CNE) of Honduras has issued the declaration of the Definitive General Scrutiny of candidates for deputies and mayors who participated in the general elections of last November 28th.

According to the law, the entity had until 23H59 (local time) to communicate the considerations of the suffrage exercise, where the parties maintained the same number of legislators; 50 of Libertad y Refundación (Libre), 44 of Nacional, 22 of Liberal and 10 of Salvador de Honduras.

The session of the plenary of the CNE started at 22:40 local time on Tuesday, to officialize the Official Declaration of the general elections.  The body reported that it made the Declaration of the elections corresponding to the elective levels of Deputies to the National Congress and Municipal Corporation. The publication will be made in the Official Gazette "La Gaceta."

Prior to this session, Councilor Rixi Moncada said that the novelties presented included fundamental steps such as revision, correction of errors in the system and verification.   According to the magistrate, the representatives who are not in favor of the result issued by the National Electoral Council may file an appeal before the Electoral Justice Tribunal (TJE).

Likewise, she notified about the analysis of 281 challenge requests presented by the members of the political alliances in approximately 20,000 minutes.
