San Francisco, November 6 (RHC)-- In the U.S., nearly 50,000 University of California student workers are set to go on strike if a deal isn’t reached with university officials on higher wages and other demands.
Earlier this week, more than 35,000 UC student workers voted in favor of authorizing a strike beginning on November 14th. They’re demanding salary increases that keep pace with the skyrocketing cost of living in California; as well as free public transit passes and reimbursement of childcare costs.
