Gaza City, May 23 (RHC)-- The Gaza Health Ministry says Israel has killed at least 62 Palestinians in the besieged territory in 24 hours.  The ministry said in a statement on Wednesday the latest toll brings the total number of deaths to 35,709 since Israel launched the genocide in Gaza in October 2023.

“Israeli attacks killed 62 people and injured 138 others in the last 24 hours,” the ministry said.

“Many people are still trapped under rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them.”

The International Court of Justice (ICC) has accused the occupying regime of “genocide” and has ordered Tel Aviv to ensure its forces do not commit acts of genocide and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The regime keeps the barbarous killing machine running regardless of international orders of that type.

Karim Khan, the chief prosecutor at the ICC, has already applied for arrest warrant against Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu and his minister of military affairs Yoav Gallant.

Simultaneous Israeli assaults on the southern and northern edges of Gaza have caused a new exodus of hundreds of thousands of people from their homes and sharply restricted the flow of aid.

Israel has displaced around 80 percent of the population of 2.3 million in Gaza since early October.

Despite the unabated campaign of bloodletting, the regime has so far fallen short of realizing its “goals,” namely defeating Hamas, releasing the captives, and causing forced displacement of the coastal sliver’s entire population to neighboring Egypt.
