Rio de Janeiro, October 6 (Xinhua-RHC) -- Brazilian presidential candidate Marina Silva, who ended third in the first round of Brazil's presidential elections on Sunday, has decided not to support either of the two rivals who will be in the run-offs.

The parties in her alliance will carry out individual meetings to make a decision, and then they will make a collective decision, Silva said after learning the preliminary results.

They may decide to jointly support one of the candidates, or the alliance may break up so that each party can make a decision on who to support.

As Silva garnered 21.27 percent of the votes in the first round, her support and the support of her alliance are important for both candidates in the run-off.

The runoff elections will take place on October 26th between Brazil's incumbent President Dilma Rousseff, who got 41.35 percent of the votes, and Aecio Neves, who garnered 33.82 percent.
