Gaza City, September 9 (RHC)-- Cellular and Internet communications were cut off Sunday night in the central and southern parts of the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
WAFA correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation destroyed transmission towers and reinforcements, leading to the cutting of cellular and Internet communications.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, damage to communication networks is making it difficult to communicate with the emergency operations room in the Gaza Strip.
Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have deliberately cut off communications and internet service in the Gaza Strip to prevent Palestinians from communicating with each other and to prevent journalists from broadcasting and covering crimes committed against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
In other news, according to health sources, the deputy director of the Gaza Civil Emergency Service in the northern areas of the Strip, Mohammad Morsi, and four members of his family were killed on Sunday in an Israeli airstrike on a house in Jabalia.
Residents said Israeli forces had also blown up several houses in the Zeitoun suburb, 5 kilometres (3 miles) from Jabalia in Gaza City. Medical teams said they were unable to respond to desperate calls from some residents who reported they were trapped in their homes, some of whom were injured.
