Washington, December 2 (RHC)-- U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has announced plans to nominate Kash Patel to replace current FBI Director Christopher Wray, whom Patel has called a “stooge of the deep state.”

Patel is a Trump loyalist who has called for the FBI’s D.C. office to be closed and turned into a “museum of the deep state.”

Last year during an interview with Steve Bannon, Kash Patel called for prosecuting journalists.  “We will go out and find the conspirators, not just in government, but in the media.  Yes, we’re going to come after the people in the media who lied about American citizens, who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections.  We’re going to come after you.  Whether it’s criminally or civilly, we’ll figure that out.  But, yeah, we’re putting you all on notice.”

Kash Patel has also embraced QAnon conspiracy theories, supported the January 6th insurrection and has made hundreds of thousands of dollars from various commercial and consulting ventures tied to Trump.
