Khan Yunis, December 16 (RHC)-- More Palestinian civilians have been killed in Gaza as the Israeli military continues to pound the blockaded territory with air and artillery strikes as part of the regime’s genocidal war.

In one of the strikes, at least 20 Palestinians were killed and several others injured after Israeli warplanes bombed a school, housing displaced Palestinians in the southern city of Khan Yunis.

In central Gaza, an Israeli airstrike on a home in the Shujai’yya neighborhood caused several fatalities.  Casualties were reported after a similar strike on the al-Nuseirat refugee camp, also in central Gaza.

Another strike on a house in Nuseirat camp killed five people, including children, according to medics.  Earlier, an Israeli airstrike in the same neighborhood, killed yet another Palestinian journalist, bringing to nearly 200 the number of media personnel killed in the ongoing war.

Israel killed Ahmed Al-Louh, a video journalist for Al Jazeera TV, and five other people, medics and fellow journalists said.  Israeli strikes in Gaza on Sunday killed at least 53 Palestinians, medics said.

The Israeli aggression on Gaza which began in October last year, has claimed nearly 45,000 lives and injured more than 106,000 others.

At least 811 Palestinians have been killed and over 6,450 others injured by Israeli fire across the occupied West Bank since the beginning of the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
