Beijing, November 10 (RHC) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin met Sunday with his Chilean counterpart Michelle Bachelet in Beijing, China, where the two dignitaries are participating in the Asia-Pacific Cooperation Forum.
Chile stands out as a major trade partner of Russia in Latin America. Diplomatic relations between the two nations were established 70 years ago.
Bilateral trade exchange grew 40 percent in 2013, totaling 743 billion dollars. The two nations are currently working on projects to increase bilateral cooperation in sectors like energy, mining, and the transfer of technology.
