Mexico City, November 13 (RHC-Xinhua) -- UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein on Wednesday called the shocking case of Mexico's 43 missing students, who were believed to have been massacred, "profoundly disturbing," local media reported.

His office was willing to strengthen cooperation with Mexico's different federal institutions, the Mexican media reported.

Meanwhile, Chile's Chamber of Deputies passed a resolution Wednesday requesting the government of President Michelle Bachelet to recall its ambassador to Mexico for consultation over the missing students.

The incident has concerned the international community, "especially in the regional field of protecting human rights," said the law-making body.

Also on Wednesday, Mexico's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it will sign an agreement with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights for "technical assistance" in the case of the missing students.
