Buenos Aires January 10 (RHC-PL), -- Argentine President, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, will travel to China in February, to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations, confirmed the presidential Cabinet today.
Fernandez is scheduled to meet with her Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, to broaden and strengthen bilateral links, in reci-procity for the visit paid to Argentina by the Chinese president, in July last year.
In a press conference at Casa Rosada (government house), the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, Jorge Capitanich, also confirmed that Foreign Minister, Hector Timerman, met with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, during the First CELAC-China Ministerial Meeting in Beijing.
The rapprochement between the two countries will help broaden trade and investment, planned for the next ten years, as well as the funding strategy, to complete the hydroelectric dams in Santa Cruz.
This will mean an increase in power supply and a significant foreign currency inflow, for the country's structural development, said Capitanich.
He added, several agreements are expected to be signed and the joint action plan will be reviewed at the meeting of the two presidents, scheduled for next month.
