Leavenworth, May 23 (RHC)-- Imprisoned U.S. Army private Chelsea Manning has proposed legislation that would help future whistleblowers follow in her footsteps.
The National Integrity and Free Speech Protection Act would amend several laws including the Freedom of Information Act and Espionage Act to help protect journalists and their sources.
Chelsea Manning, formerly known as Bradley Manning, is serving a 35-year sentence for leaking U.S. government cables to WikiLeaks.
