Damascus, April 5 (RHC-PL), -- Islamic State (IS) militants attacked the surroundings of Deir Ezzor airport, 460 kilometers northeast of Damascus, where they used rockets with mustard gas, according to military reports released Tuesday.
According to reports, attacks began with 17 vehicles driven by suicide bombers, which were destroyed by Army units.
Due to those actions, the IS launched rockets loaded with mustard gas against one of the military checkpoints in the surroundings of the airport, injuring soldiers, who were assisted immediately.
Combat extended to the surroundings of Jafra and Maryiya localities.
Both, the IS and al Nusra Front continue violating the ceasefire decreed last February 27, and from which they were excluded due to their own decision and the determination of the signing parties, Russia, the U.S., and Syria.
