Panama City, July 6 (RHC)-- Cuban Education Minister Ena Elsa Velázquez undertook a working visit to Panama to continue strengthening the literacy program 'Yo sí puedo', through which more than 70,000 people of Spanish-speaking and original dialects have become literate since 2007.

Ena Elsa Velázquez highlighted the exchange with her Panamanian counterpart, Marcela Paredes, to analyze the application of the 'Yes I can follow' method, which allows the primary level of schooling to be reached.

The Cuban leader highlighted the results of these programs, which have benefited more than 10 million people in 30 countries and have allowed countries like Venezuela, Bolivia and Nicaragua to be declared free of illiteracy.
