Havana, July 12 (RHC)-- Japan's Peace Boat will arrive in Havana next Tuesday, July 17th -- bringing in 1,200 peace activists and a strong message, advocating a nuclear-free world.

During their stay on the island, the pacifists will participate in a Forum on Youth, Nuclear Disarmament and Peace. They will tour schools and health centers, as well as Havana neighborhoods, where they will exchange with residents.

The Havana Port is one of 23 such spots in 25 countries, which the Peace Boat is visiting before returning to Japan on August 22nd. This voyage marks the 35th anniversary of Peace Boat as a Japan-based international organization that promotes nuclear disarmament, peace, human rights, sustainable development and environmental preservation.
