Havana, November 22 (RHC)-- Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez will arrive in Cuba on Thursday for an official visit. The visit is aimed at normalizing, stabilizing and deepening bilateral ties.

This is the first official call by a Spanish prime minister in 32 years. Sánchez and Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel will open a business forum in the Grand Packard Hotel, which is run by the Spanish chain Iberostar.

According to Spanish media, during his two-day stay Sanchez will be joined by executives from two dozen companies.

Spain is Cuba's third largest trading partners with annul bilateral commerce at around 1.3 billion dollars.

Several hundred Spanish firms already have a presence in Cuba, particularly in the tourism sector, dominated by alliances between Spanish hotel chains and Cuban companies.
