Havana, April 6 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla denounced on his Twitter accouint Monday that the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States on the island is genocidal.

Referring to the sanctions that the Cuban people have suffered for more than 60 years, the foreign minister highlighted in a tag that the blockade kills.

Because of the sanctions imposed by the Trump administration, a donation of medical supplies from Alibaba President Jack Ma's Foundation could not reach Cuba because the company transporting the material had US interests.

However, the foreign minister himself said that on Monday a donation sent by the Chinese government for the fight against the coronavirus arrived in Cuba.  He added that "in times of pandemics, solidarity and cooperation save lives."
