Havana, July 13 (RHC)-- The presidency of the Regional Council of Piedmont conferred a decoration for civil merits to the 38 Cuban health collaborators who faced COVID-19 together with Italian colleagues in the city of Turin for three months.
The argument of the recognition highlights the role played during the health emergency, the dedication and high professionalism given in the care of Piedmontese patients.
During the ceremony at the cultural and convention complex where the temporary hospital where the professionals worked is located, the President of the Regional Council, Stefano Allasi, expressed the gratitude of the authorities and the people of the Italian region.
The Cuban Ambassador to Italy, José Carlos Rodríguez, thanked this and many other expressions of gratitude received by the Cuban doctors and nurses since their arrival in that nation.
