Havana, November 4 (RHC)--The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif, will make a working visit to Cuba starting this Thursday, November 5.
The foreign minister will hold official talks with Cuban authorities and carry out other activities of interest, according to the Cubaminrex website.
On August 8, 1979, Cuba and Iran re-established diplomatic relations, and the island became one of the first nations to recognize the new republic that was born after the triumph of a historic revolution, a fact that would mark the beginning of a friendly relationship between both countries that lasts until today.
Iran, whose capital city and the most populated city is Tehran, has more than 82 million 630 thousand inhabitants in more than one million square kilometers.
