Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez reiterated Monday that despite the lack of evidence of alleged attacks against diplomats in Havana, the United States maintains coercive measures against the population of our country.

Havana, February 8 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez reiterated Monday that despite the lack of evidence of alleged attacks against diplomats in Havana, the United States maintains coercive measures against the population of our country.

On his account on the social network Twitter, the island's foreign minister also recalled that Cuba is the only country in the world against which Washington imposed and still applies this siege.

"The U.S. government finds no evidence of any attack against diplomats in Havana.  However, Cuba is the only country in the world against which the U.S. imposed and still applies coercive measures that harm its people," he wrote on the social network.

Recently, a panel of experts created by Joe Biden's administration concluded that there are "information gaps" to determine the cause of the health incidents reported by U.S. diplomats around the world.  The specialists considered that "some kind of electromagnetic energy" could be behind the strange symptoms, first recorded at the end of 2016 in officials of the northern embassy in Havana. More than 200 U.S. diplomats and foreign service officers have suffered from the alleged symptoms, which Washington initially labeled an "acoustic attack" when it tried to blame Cuba.

Despite the fact that numerous scientific and governmental investigations show no evidence of such events, the false argument served former Republican President Donald Trump, to dismantle the Washington embassy in the Cuban capital and adopt 243 additional measures to the blockade imposed by the United States on the island.
