Havana, July 18 (RHC)-- Cuban deputies will analyze issues of economic and social impact this week, in the context of the 9th Ordinary Period of Sessions of Parliament, in its 9th Legislature.

On July 20, activities will take place at the Havana Convention  Center before the event, which will be held from July 21 to 23 and will promote the exchange of criteria on various issues of interest to the nation.

Topics such as the analysis of the Family Code bill and the country's economic results stand out among the issues to be discussed on this occasion by this supreme body of State power.

Regarding the legal norm to be approved, the secretary of the National Assembly of People's Power, Homero Acosta, told the press that the deputies would analyze its 25th version.

He recalled that 49 percent of the new legal text was transformed with experts' opinions and the citizenry.

He added that parliamentarians could make other modifications to the document, which will be submitted to a referendum in September.

On this occasion, the legislators will also discuss the preparation of the tourism sector for the summer, the use of renewable energy sources, the operation of pharmacies and opticians, measures for the recovery of cattle farming, and the recently concluded sugar harvest.

They will know, among other aspects, the status of the improvement of the music business system, the policy of comprehensive care for children and youth, the housing policy, the production of construction materials, the management of the digital government, and the projects of recreation and use of free time.

The Assembly meets in ordinary sessions in two annual periods (at the end of each semester) for a term of two or three days per session, and before each period, its permanent commissions meet.
