Havana, July 31 (RHC)--Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel thanked friends of the Caribbean island in several cities around the world for demanding an end to the U.S. blockade.

"Cuba is not alone. It has never been. Thanks to all the friends in various cities worldwide who took to the streets this Sunday to demand: down with the Blockade! The Bridges of Love are indestructible," he tweeted.

For his part, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said on that social media network that the struggle to confront the genocidal policy is arduous.

The Caribbean nation's Foreign Minister referred to the multiple solidarity initiatives aimed at drawing the attention of President Joe Biden carried out by the Bridges of Love project, headed by Cuban-American professor Carlos Lazo, in 21 cities around the world, including the U.S. cities of Miami, New York, Los Angeles and Oklahoma.

The activists, friends of Cuba, and Cuban nationals living abroad denounced the Blockade.

They also demanded that the current president of the White House fulfill his electoral promises, remove Cuba from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism and lift the sanctions that weigh on the island's people.
