Havana, Aug 21 (RHC)-- Cuba repudiates and condemns terrorism in any of its forms and manifestations, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said Sunday.

"On the International Day of Commemoration and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, we call for peace and an end to the politicization of this scourge," the foreign minister said on Twitter.

Acts of terrorism that spread hateful ideologies hurt, harm and kill thousands of innocent people every year, said the United Nations (UN) on its website.

On this date, the UN warned that its member states have a responsibility to support the victims of terrorism and defend their rights.

In order to meet this challenge, the international organization offers support to implement the "United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy
