Unionists, and solidarity activists have supported the recovery efforts in Pinar del Río

Pinar del Río, Cuba, Nov 17 (RHC) Unionists, and solidarity activists have supported the recovery efforts in Pinar del Río, one of the most affected by Hurricane Ian in September.

Members of the Solidarity Campaign with Cuba in the United Kingdom arrived at the Luis Augusto Turcios Lima polyclinic, a building that underwent severe damage, where they delivered a donation with supplies to support medical assistance.

Campaign leader Rob Miller told the Cuban News Agency the visit to Pinar del Río is part of the interest in exchanging ideas, getting to know, and helping the Cuban people.

British-Irish Union UNITE Assistant General Secretary Steve Turner added that Cuba inspires the world through its self-determination.

The Cuba Solidarity Campaign is made up of more than 5,000 people, affiliated organizations, and local groups.

Among their activities, they organize specialized tours and exchanges of solidarity brigades and work to build links and a better understanding between Great Britain and Cuba. (ACN)
