Caracas, Jan 2 (RHC) The Bolivarian Socialist Workers of City, Countryside, and Fishing Workers of Venezuela, congratulated the Cuban people on the advent on January 1 of the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.

The workers' center joined the messages sent by President Nicolás Maduro, the Foreign Ministry, and the Venezuela-Cuba Friendship and Mutual Solidarity Movement.

The head of state assured the day before that the memorable victory of the revolutionary people of Cuba on January 1, 1959, still shakes consciences in the world.

The Caribbean Island is still bothering the pretensions of Yankee imperialism to sustain its hegemony over the rebel wave that advances demanding justice. Long live Cuba, always victorious," the president said on the same social network.

In a video that accompanied the message, Commander Hugo Chávez pointed out that on that jubilant day when the revolutionary columns of the Rebel Army took up positions in the cities, "the dictator (Fulgencio Batista) fled, the tyrants fled, and that beautiful Cuban flag was raised free".

Cuba turned on the lights and continues to be the vanguard of the dignity of the people of America! It is there and will always be there. "Long live the Cuban Revolution!" he remarked.

The Movement of Friendship and Mutual Solidarity and its youth segment greeted the people and Government of Cuba in a communiqué.

The note recalled that, in the early morning of December 31, 1958, the Rebel Army put an end to the dictatorial regime of Fulgencio Batista and gave way to the historic arrival of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro (1926-2016) on January 1, 1959.

The triumph of the Cuban Revolution meant an important milestone for Latin America, the Caribbean, and the whole world as it was considered one of the most influential revolutionary deeds, full of resistance and social struggle against the dominant and imperial model of the United States.

The text remarked that with it began a process of transformations and social welfare for the people of the Caribbean Island. (Source: Prensa Latina).
