Manuel Marrero meeting in Ciego de Avila
Havana, January 6 (RHC)-- We live in different times and we need to do different things. We cannot enter 2023 doing more of the same, said Manuel Marrero Cruz, Cuba's Prime Minister. During a meeting in Ciego de Avila, headed by Miguel Díaz-Canel, President of the Republic, the Cuban premier called for setting concrete goals and indicators with the municipality at the center of everything.
At the meeting, Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, stated that they have a great challenge and commitment with the people, to improve welfare and quality of life, and to progressively eliminate inflation, shortages, poor quality of services, currency devaluation, corruption and illegalities.
Other issues that were discussed were the delivery of land with more agility to the producers, the responsibility of the companies with the municipalities and the need for greater productive responses based on the potential of the province.
Ciego de Avila is the territory where they started a group of meetings with the highest authorities of all the provinces to evaluate the actions to face the economic and social situation.
