Chihuahua plays an important role in solidarity meeting with Cuba
Havana, April 18 (RHC) - The state of Chihuahua will be an important part of the 27th National Solidarity Meeting to be held in Mexico City on April 29 and 30.
This was reported by the official of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) Idania Ramos, at the end of a working visit to that entity, in which she verified the progress in the preparations of the state committee of the Mexican Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, organizer of the national meeting.
The Cuban national hero Ramón Labañino will be present at the meeting and, as vice president of the National Association of Economists of Cuba, will explain the situation of the Cuban economy and the damage caused by the United States blockade.
Ramos held a discussion in Chihuahua about the achievements of the Cuban Revolution despite the blockade and the determination of the people to continue resisting.
He congratulated the people of Chihuahua and all the Mexican brothers for how they are working to organize this new national meeting that will bring together the delegations of numerous entities at the Universidad Obrera Vicente Lombardo Toledano in Mexico City.
During his visit to the state government palace, he paid homage to the Father of the Nation Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla with the placement of a floral offering at the well-known Altar to the Nation. (Source: Prensa Latina)
