Havana, Apr 21 (RHC) - The Vice President of the Government of the Crimean peninsula, Irina Kiviko, reported today that an exhibition on relations between Crimea and Cuba will open next Monday in the city of Simferopol.
Kiviko, who also heads the Crimean-Cuban Friendship Society, explained that the exhibition The history and traditions of Russian-Cuban friendship in Crimea includes more than 130 archival documents, including photographic materials.
It is the first time in Crimea that an exhibition of this type of archival material is held, with documents, photographs about the stay of the Cuban delegations in Crimea, as well as about those Cubans who were trained on the peninsula.
According to Kiviko, a significant part of the documents has not been exhibited before and reveals the long history of friendship between Cuba and Russia. The exhibition is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the birth of Ernesto Che Guevara and was organized by the State Archives Committee of the Republic of Crimea and the Crimean regional branch of the Russian Society for Friendship with Cuba.
The exhibition will provide the opportunity to see documents of Cuban representatives who participated in state and friendship visits, educational programs, as well as extensive photographic material on the subject mentioned. (Source: Prensa Latina)
