Cuba and Ethiopia will strengthen cooperation in the agricultural sphere

Havana, May 17 (RHC) The Ethiopian Minister of Agriculture Girma Amente and the Cuban ambassador in that country, Jorge Lefebre, held a meeting where they agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in research, technical assistance and technology transfer.

During the meeting, Lefebre revealed that Havana is willing to help Ethiopia in agricultural biotechnology, animal health and production technology, mechanization, irrigation and coffee production. He expressed the common interest in promoting bilateral cooperation and sharing modest experiences in favor of agriculture.

Amente, for his part, stressed that Ethiopia and Cuba have a long historical relationship and are doing a lot in economic growth. A memorandum of understanding will be signed in the future to establish the legal framework for cooperation. (Source: Prensa Latina)
