Documentary about leader of the Cuban Revolution premieres at the Chilean House of Culture

 

Havana, October 6 (RHC) The documentary Fidel de cerca, a portrait of the leader of the Cuban Revolution from the perspective of his friends, family and collaborators, was premiered at the House of Culture in the Chilean commune of San Miguel.

The 104-minute film, directed by Mexicans Eduardo Flores and Gabriel Beristain and Cuban Roberto Chile, offers the opportunity to get closer to one of the great personalities of the 20th and early 21st centuries.

Gustavo Arias, director of that cultural center, considered that these types of spaces are conducive to generating content, talking and also analyzing the history of Latin America.

Ronny Muñoz, president of the Chilean-Cuban Chamber of Commerce, thanked the filmmakers and producers of the film who agreed to the request to present it in Chile and get to know a much closer Fidel Castro and his relationship with the family.

The revolutionary leader is also presented in the most difficult moments that Cuba went through and his commitment to his people, he said.

Friends of Cuba, officials and diplomatic personnel accredited in Santiago de Chile attended the presentation of the cultural center in La Cava.

Pedro Bronzic, spokesperson for the Metropolitan Zone of the Cuban Solidarity Movement in Chile, highlighted that the documentary reflects the personality of a great statesman, his attitude and conviction.

According to its filmmakers, the documentary takes a deep and emotional look at the man behind the uniform, the boy from Birán, the law student at the University of Havana, the avid reader, a story about which very little is known. (Source: PL)
