Twenty-fourth Chemistry Conference called in Cuba
Havana, Nov 16 (RHC) The Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Natural and Exact Sciences of the Universidad de Oriente today convened the 24th Chemistry Conference to be held from Tuesday to Thursday.
The meeting, sponsored by the Cuban Chemical Society, will allow for the discussion of scientific results between national and foreign specialists, as well as the presentation of products and services from state companies and the private sector.
There will be several commissions at the event: Bioactive Compounds and Sustainable Chemistry; Analytical and Environmental Chemistry; Chemical Education; Materials and Inorganic Chemistry; Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering. Also, eight pre-event courses will be taught.
Among the foreign specialists who will participate and teach courses are Gustavo Marcelo Morales, from the National University of Rio Cuarto, Argentina; and Iván Alejandro Reyes Domínguez, from the Institute of Metallurgy of the Autonomous University of San Luis de Potosí, Mexico. (Source: PL)
