Cuba prepares to celebrate May 1st

Havana, April 29 (RHC) Cuba finalizes details today for the rally on May 1st, Workers' Day, which annually brings together thousands of nationals and foreigners in Havana.

This year, the main site of the event will take place at the José Martí Anti-imperialist Tribune, a stage where nearly 200 thousand residents from five municipalities of Havana will attend.

This Sunday, just days before Wednesday's event, dozens of residents of the capital participated in a day of volunteer work to decorate the stage, according to the Government of Havana on the social network X.

Likewise, a group of organizational measures arranged by the capital's provincial Road Safety Commission were disclosed to ensure mobility during the celebration of the proletarian festival.

In this sense, several streets in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality will be closed, with parking prohibited, to guarantee safe transportation during the development of the activity.

Also in the rest of the country's provinces, the main squares are getting ready to welcome the multitude of Cubans who will celebrate the 65th anniversary of the first workers' parade, held after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959.

According to the General Secretary of the Cuban Workers' Union, Ulises Guilarte, on May 1stm Cubans will demand the cessation of the economic, financial and commercial blockade of the United States and the exclusion of the island from the illegal list of supposedly sponsoring countries. of terrorism.
