Havana, 2 July (RHC) The International Agroforestry Convention 2024, which will last until next Friday, began today at the Palacio de las Convenciones in Havana.
Organized by the National Agroforestry Research Institute (INAF) and the Beekeeping Research Centre, the event will bring together more than 400 national and foreign researchers, academics, entrepreneurs and producers.
The IV International Coffee and Cocoa Congress, the VIII International Meeting of Young Researchers and the VII Cuban Beekeeping Congress will be held in parallel.
Topics related to production, plantation and soil management, beekeeping development, biodiversity and the environment will be discussed.
Dr Pedro Pablo Henry, Director of the National Institute of Forestry Research, stressed the importance of linking the results of science with producers.
