Cuba participates in UN Conference on Climate Change COP29

COP29 is the largest event organized by Azerbaijan to date and the first of its kind in the region

 

Baku, Nov 11 (RHC) A delegation from Cuba is attending the 29th session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29), which began today in Baku.

According to Carlos Valdés, Cuban ambassador to Azerbaijan, the delegation is composed of officials and experts from the Ministries of Science, Technology, and Environment and International Relations.

Valdés added that COP29, which will take place at the Baku Olympic Stadium from November 11 to 22, is the largest event organized by Azerbaijan to date and the first of its kind in the region.

The highlight of COP29 is the World Leaders Summit on Climate Action, which will take place from November 12 to 13.

During the opening of COP29, the government of Azerbaijan and the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change signed a Host Country Agreement and other important documents. (Source: PL)
