The National Assembly of People's Power is the supreme organ of Cuban State power, and the only one that has constitutional and legislative capacity

 

Havana, Dec 16 (RHC) The Permanent Committees of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba will debate from today issues of the national agenda, prior to the 4th Ordinary Session of this body, during its 10th legislative term.

For two days, the deputies will focus on problems affecting the population and legislative actions for their solution; the transformation of the science, technology and innovation system; the care system; the accountability of delegates; and the economic plan for 2025.

The Fourth Ordinary Session will be held from December 18 to 20, at the Havana Convention Palace.

The National Assembly of People's Power is the supreme organ of Cuban State power, and the only one that has constitutional and legislative capacity. Its current legislature is composed of 470 deputies, with more than 55 percent of them being women.

They are chosen through a free, open, and confidential ballot by the electorate, in accordance with the rules and procedures established by law. (Source: Prensa Latina)
