
Cuba and Zimbabwe identify new areas in educational cooperation
Havana, April 9 (RHC) The Cuban Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Susellys Pérez, and the Vice-Rector of the University of Education of Bindura, Eddie Mwenje, have outlined new avenues for strengthening the relationship between the Caribbean country and the Zimbabwean Center for Higher Education.
The officials emphasized the importance of the long-standing collaboration between Cuban educational institutions and the desire to enhance it.
Professors and doctors of sciences from Cuba are instrumental in the development of professionals in various fields at this university, with tangible and beneficial outcomes, as stated by Mwenje.
Pérez expressed gratitude for the acknowledgment from the vice-rector and the educational institution's commitment to having additional experts as a means of ensuring the training of professionals for Zimbabwe.
The conversation helped to create a medium-term plan for key areas in teaching, communication, healthcare, physical education, and sports.
The Cuban diplomat and Mwenje concurred on the importance of ensuring that the next generation is comprehensively prepared, and on the use of science to address the challenges and ambitions of both nations.
