Havana, December 19 (RHC) -– The 9th plenary session of the Cuban Communist Party Central Committee, presided by its Second Secretary Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, held sessions on Thursday to evaluate the work of the organization in 2014 regarding the implementation and follow up of accords reached at the 6th Congress of the Party and the objectives adopted at its First National Conference.
In submitting the report, Political Bureau member Salvador Valdes referred to advancement in the implementation of the approved policies and better understanding of the new challenges posed by the new and far-reaching measures to be adopted.
But he noted that there are some inefficiencies in the performance of entities at different levels of the economic sector, and in the working systems being used, which delay or hinder at times the implementation of measures and decisions.
In this regard, participants at the session agreed that Party members are not appropriately using the organization's ways of control and demand from management executives. They insisted on the need to have a higher qualitative level in the performance of different entities, beginning with the Party itself and its cadres, in order to achieve an effective and fast response to anything that may affect the interests of the Revolution.
Machado Ventura submitted the report on the work of the Political Bureau this year, a period in which different commissions focused on the control of the accords reached at the 6th Party Congress and major economic issues.
