Port of Spain, January 14 (RHC-Xinhua) -- Trinidad and Tobago will sign an agreement with Cuba this month to boost bilateral tourism cooperation. Gerald Hadeed, Tourism Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, said: "At the end of the month, we will be signing a memorandum of understanding with Cuba. The intention will be for Trinidad and Tobago to join hands with Cuba as a co-destination."

The agreement to pair both Caribbean nations in tourism route packages will offer them abundant tourism resources, said Hadeed. He also disclosed that he has been requested to ask Caribbean Airlines, national airline of Trinidad and Tobago, to resume flights to Cuba.

More than 400,000 international tourists travel to Trinidad and Tobago each year to enjoy sunshine and the beautiful Caribbean island scenery. Europe and North America are its main tourism markets.
