Havana, April 13 (RHC) – Cuban President Raul Castro arrived Sunday afternoon in Havana from Panama, where he took part, for the first time ever, in the Summit of the Americas.
Upon his arrival in Havana, the Cuban head of state was welcomed by Cuba' First Vice President, Miguel Diaz Canel, and the Minister of Interior, Aberlardo Colomé Ibarra.
In Panama, Raul Castro led a packed agenda of activities, including a delivering an emotional speech at the plenary session of the Summit of the Americas, and meetings with world leaders, including US President, Barack Obama, and United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon.
Raul Castro also met with his host, Panamanian President, Juan Carlos Varela, who bid farewell to the Cuban President at the Panama City international airport.
