La Paz, July 20 (RHC) -- The Cuban Medical Mission is marking a decade in Bolivia with over 62 million consultations and more than 83 thousand lives saved, an official said.
The head of the Cuban medical brigade in Bolivia, Niviola Cabrera, said almost ten years after the mission's launch in Bolivia, 730 health workers are working in 44 municipalities in nine departments, where they render 40 different services in 30 medical specialties.
In addition, Cuban professionals have joined the educational netwrok in Bolivia, providing much needed expertise in six departments: Oruro, Tarija, Santa Cruz, Beni, Cochabamba and Pando with a total of 243 students under their tutelage.
