Brasilia, October 26 (RHC)-- Brazilian Senator Randolfe Rodrigues confirmed the support of his country for international demands to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba.

Introducing a motion against the arbitrary measure in the Brazilian Parliament, Rodrigues said his government will support the Cuban resolution to lift the blockade at tomorrow's vote in the United Nations General Assembly.

In this regard, Rodrigues said that the U.S. policy aims to strangle the Cuban Revolution and is a hostile and unjustified, remnant of the Cold War. He also said that the damage caused to the Cuban people by the unjust U.S. blockade is much greater from a humanitarian point of view, because of the affects it has in the area of health and the acquisition of medical equipment.
