Baracoa, November 5 (RHC)-- U.S. and Cuban scientists, representing the American Museum of Natural History and Cuba's National Museum of Natural History, have concluded an 18-day joint expedition to the Alexander Von Humboldt National Park, located in Baracoa in the Cuban eastern-most province of Guantánamo.

U.S. researcher Ana Luz Porzecanski recalled that this expedition was the largest of its kind carried out over the past several decades in the park, which is Cuba's largest protected biodiversity area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The expedition findings included the discovery of a small, endemic animal, belonging to the amphibian species.
