Washington, November 10 (RHC)-- Cuban and U.S. officials agreed to boost bilateral collaboration in issues related to security, such as the fight on terrorism, drug trafficking, money laundry and human trafficking.

On Monday, the two countries held their first meeting in Washington on law enforcement, as part of the process aimed at normalizing bilateral relations.

According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the meeting was held in a respectful and professional environment as the two sides agreed to find ways to fight transnational crime. They also addressed issues related to cyber-security and criminals in both nations.

The two parties agreed to follow up on the current dialog and hold technical meetings between agencies of the two countries on law enforcement.
