La Paz, February 3 (RHC)-- Bolivian Minister of Health Ariana Campero has acknowledged the Cuban health brigade for the outstanding worked developed in the Andean country.

During a ceremony Tuesday to officially express appreciation to Cuba and the island's health professionals, Campero said one of their main contributions over the past 10 years of work in Bolivia has been to reach out to the poor in remote, previously under-served regions and offer them free and high-quality health care attention.

The Bolivian health minister, a graduate from the Havana-based Latin American School of Medicine, has conveyed messages of thanks to Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro, President Raúl Castro, and the Cuban people.

Tuesday's ceremony was attended by Cuban Ambassador to Bolivia Benigno Pérez, and a representation of the 724 Cuban health professionals who are currently working in Bolivia.
