Washington, February 24 (RHC)-- U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has announced a possible trip to Cuba ahead of the announced visit to the Caribbean state by President Barack Obama.

Kerry said he might visit Cuba in a week or two, to talk about issues included on the agenda of Obama's visit, set for March 21st and 22nd.

Addressing the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday, Kerry said he has plans to debate several issues, including human rights.

In confirming Obama's visit last week, Cuban authorities said that they are ready and willing to discuss any issue whatsoever on the basis of mutual respect, and that Cuba also has its own views about the human rights situation in the United States.
