Havana, February 29 (RHC)-- As of Monday, February 29th, the Cuban Health Ministry implemented a series of new regulations for international sanitary control, aimed at protecting the health of the population.

The ministry said the new measures are in response to the current  epidemiological situation generated by the sharp increase in the region of mosquito-born diseases like dengue, chikungunya, zika, and the yellow fever outbreak in Angola.

Health authorities said that top on the list of regulations is guaranteeing that foreigners, who come to study in Cuba have their health certificate, received no earlier than three months before traveling and legalized by the Cuban embassy in their country of origin.
