The first general strike in Argentina since 2019 found in power an ultraliberal, Javier Milei, bent on convincing of the benefits, according to him, of blindly disavowing the state.

Crowds of Argentines went to rallies to reprove the reforms of the ultra-right-wing president.

The same attitude was assumed by those who did not attend production and service units, in response to a call from the unions, and which were joined by social organizations, human rights organizations, artists and other sectors.

Even the well-known actor Ricardo Darín expressed his detachment from Milei's proposals, revered by the economic elites at the Davos Forum and the International Monetary Fund.

While former U.S. President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk revere Milei, millions of Argentines reproach him and even a judge declared the invalidity of six articles of the DNU, Decree of Necessity and Urgency, aimed at economic deregulation.

The judge partially granted an amparo action filed by the General Confederation of Labor against the National State.
