Plataforma cubana Sandunga

Havana, August 10(RHC)-- The Cuban music platform Sandunga incorporates as a new service the online sale of physical products, the Image and Development Department of Exportadora SoyCubano has reported.

In statements to Prensa Latina news agency, Communication and Marketing specialist Yanae Naredo recalled that the platform was launched only four months ago, allowing users to download tunes and music videos by Cuban artists.

According to Naredo, the catalog includes physical albums like ‘Que no me quiten la fe’, by Maykel Blanco and su Salsa Mayor; ‘Sí’, by Luis Franco; ‘Mujer de acero’, by Haila María Mompié; ‘Pa que te sosiegues’, by Toques del Río; ‘Dial’, by Buena Fe and ‘Entre cuerdas’, by César López.

Other physical albums also available for sale on Cuba’s Sandunga music platform include ‘Libre’, by Telmary; ‘Vida libre’, by David Blanco; ‘Muévete’, by Yuly and Habana C; ‘El piano y yo’, by Miriam Ramos; ‘Miracle’, by Ivette Cepeda; ‘ADN’, by Alain Pérez; ‘Repartiendo amor’, by Waldo Mendoza; ‘Son 20 na ma’, by Pascualito Cabrejas, among many others.

The music store’s official opening is set for August 16th. It will also offer physical books, electronic texts, musical instruments, posters, etc.

Recently, the platform released its summer playlist, with proposals such as ‘Se muere de sed la tía’, by Los Van Van, ‘Nereida’, by Orquesta Failde; ‘Solos tú y yo’, by Pupy & los que Son Son; ‘Me voy’, by Cimafunk and ‘Carnal’, by Buena Fe.

Sandunga was born with the purpose of becoming the main digital music marketplace to commercialize Cuban music and other related services.

The site is called SANDUNGA after a song composed by Juan Formell –the outstanding Cuban bassist, composer, arranger, who founded the emblematic band Los Van Van in 1959.
